My second career working at a United Nations agency in Venezuela was different but absolutely interesting, and it was also convenient from a family/logistics point of view. I spent 8 years on and off being part of the FAO’s (United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization) Representation in Venezuela. During that time, I learned a lot on how the organization functions and how the UN works to assist different countries’ food and agriculture needs. Finally, for the last 11 years I have had fun and experienced growth working as a Spanish and science teacher, which is what I plan to keep doing as long as my strength allow me to do so.
